Glenn Le Mar, 88, passed away May 8, 2022, at 2:45 am, at Primrose Retirement Community of Lima.
Glenn was born December 12, 1933 in Columbus Grove, OH, to Albert and Lura (Fisher) Le Mar who both preceded him in death. On June 12, 1954 he married Kay (Johnson) Le Mar who survives in Lima, OH.
Glenn attended Spencerville High School and later graduated from Lima South High School in 1953. After graduation and marriage he moved with his family to California retiring in 1988 from General Telephone & Electronics. Glenn and Kay returned to Lima in 1997. Glenn was a member of the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed serving as a ministerial servant. In retirement he continued to enjoy his life-long love of roller skating, woodworking, building a Kit Car and collecting model cars.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Kay J. Le Mar of Lima, OH, children, Vicki (Mike) Orgill of Laguna Niguel, CA, Becky (Gary) Thams of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Brenda (Chris) Compton of Ventura, CA. grandchildren, Leah Thams, Kasey (Dane) Aleknavicius, Cheyenne Thams, great-grandchildren, Clara Jo Aleknavicius, Mason Rhys Aleknavicius, and Gary Ford Thams
He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Glenda Ann Le Mar, siblings, Thelma, Dorothy, Shirley, Albert Jr, Donald, Millie, Bernice, Roger and Glenna.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 2:00pm at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Elder Collin Deitsch to officiate the service.
Visitation will be on Sunday May 15, 2022 from 12:00am until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 703 W Bluelick Rd, Lima, OH 45801.
