Steve D. Webb

Steve D. Webb, 73, took his last breath here and first breath in heaven on September 17, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. He died at home with family holding his hands. Steve lived his life for God and instilled those beliefs in his children and grandchildren. He will be missed forever.

Steve was born April 7, 1948, in Paintsville, Kentucky to Charles & Opal (Williams) Webb, both of whom preceded him in death.
Steve graduated from Lafayette Jackson High School in 1966. He was active in track, football, and basketball. He was a proud Navy veteran serving on USS Pocono from 1967 to 1971. He married his loving wife, Pat, on March 22, 1981. He retired from A.F.S.C.M.E as a union contract negotiator. He was an avid outdoor sports enthusiast, and particulary enjoyed golf, fishing, and hunting. One of his greatest loves was his grandkids. He loved attending their sports events, taking them for surprise ice cream trips, and teaching them valuable life skills and lessons. He enjoyed his weekly gin games with his close friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Webb of Springdale, Arkansas, James Webb of Lima and Gary Webb of Ada.

Steve is survived by his wife, Patricia (Schenk) Webb of Lima; his children, Angela (Allen) Newland of Roundhead, Anita (Gary) Grove of Dayton, Bradley (Jody) Webb of Lima, and Sara (Erik) Heitmeyer of Lima; 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Debbie Sanders of Bluffton, Roger (Anita) Webb of Springdale, Arkansas; as well as sisters-in-law Nancy Webb of Springdale, Arkansas and Brenda Webb of Lima.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Doug Boquist will officiate the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
A public visitation will take place on the night prior, Monday, September 20, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and one hour prior to the service at the Shawnee Chapel.
