Ruth E. Louth, age 94, passed away May 11, 2019, at 7:21 am, at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. Ruth was born March 9, 1925 in Greenville, TN, to Gideon W. and Penelope “Neppie” J. (Noe) Jones who preceded her in death. She married Eugene R. Louth who preceded her in death on April 27, 1997.
Ruth graduated from Roosevelt High School in Dayton, OH in 1943. After high school she had worked as an assembler with Delco and then later with NCR. At the end of her career she had worked as a laborer with Dayton Wire from which she retired. Ruth had also worked for a short time as a waitress with Chili King in Dayton. Ruth loved flea markets, garage sales, doll collecting, country music and horses. She will be remembered for her resilience and being a good samaritan and a very giving person. She dearly loved her family and will be sadly missed.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Linda K. Louth of Dayton, OH, a granddaughter, Kelly S. (Shawn) LoFaro of Highlands, NY, a grandson, Dustin Louth of Dayton, OH and 2 great grandchildren: Charles F. LoFaro and Sam P. LoFaro and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond (Evelyn) Jones and a sister in-law, Mamie (“Mike” Alphonse) Louth-Kill, 2 half brothers and 5 half sisters.
There will be a funeral service held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 1:30 pm at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Rev. Bryan Bucher. Burial will be in Spencerville Cemetery following the service.
Friends may call on Monday from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist them with funeral expenses. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
