Franklin E. “Frank” Long Sr., age 70, was called into the presence of the Lord at 11:42 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018, at his home.
Frank was born November 16, 1947 in Arcadia, to Robert Croyle Long and Bonnie (Workley) Long Weaks who both preceded him in death. On October 3, 1977 he married the love of his life Barbara A. “Barb” (Kryza) Long who survives in Lima.
Frank was owner/operator of Quoin Contracting and Long Life Unlimited. He proudly served in the United States Marines during Vietnam. He loved the Lord and was a dedicated member of Shekinah Temple in St. Marys.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Franklin E. “Frank” Long, Jr., and Derek Michael Long; daughter, Heidi Long; step-daughter, Jodi (Dan) Burkhart Jones a special granddaughter, Emily P. Miller, numerous other grandchildren and a sister, Julie (Bob) Conner.
He is preceded in death by a twin brother, John Long and brother, Robert “Bobby” Long , Jr.
Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Pastor Judy Baker will officiate the service. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date. Military Honors will be provided by the VFW #1275 and the United States Marines.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 3, prior to the service at the funeral home.
