William E. “Bill” Nesbitt, age 79, passed away on February 20, 2022, in Sebring, Florida. He was born January 16, 1943 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Robert and Geneva (Leonhard) Nesbitt.

Bill was a 1961 graduate of Fairview High School in Dayton and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He had previously owned and operated Nesbitt’s Lawn Service in Dayton and retired as owner of Area Mobile, a two-way radio and cell phone company. He was a past member of Lima Lodge #205 F.&A.M., Antioch Shrine, Dayton and the Family Motor Home Association. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Elida. Bill enjoyed playing pickleball, woodworking and sporting clays. He and his wife Beverly enjoyed traveling the country in their motor-home and spent the last 20 winters in Florida.

In addition to his wife, Beverly (DeShetler) Nesbitt of Lima, Bill is survived by children, Robert “Bob” (Shelley) Nesbitt of Tipp City, Andy (Jill) Nesbitt of Hendersonville, TN, Amy (Korby) Saulbeamer of Dayton, and Sara (Jason) Sipos of Powell; bonus children, Cindy (Tim) Donbrosky of Perrysburg, and Steven Pound of Toledo; nine grandchildren, Lindsey (Justin) Millhouse, Brandon Nesbitt, Louden Saulbeamer, Anne Sipos, Owen Donbrosky, Noah Nesbitt, Paige Nesbitt, Ethan Sipos, and Maya Nesbitt; Great-grandson, Mack Millhouse; and brother, Carl (Michele) Nesbitt of Colorado Springs, CO.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Anne (McAfee) Nesbitt.

Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Pastor Paul Scannell will officiate the service. Burial of cremated remains will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, prior to the service at the funeral home.
