William D. “Bill” Miller, 77, of Lima, passed away at 12:19 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on December 6, 1945 in Lima to Lyle and Thelma (Lybold) Miller, who both preceded him in death. On September 2, 1966, he married Joyce Dotson, who survives in Lima.

Bill was a graduate of Elida High School. He worked at Westinghouse, Sundstrand and retired from Chiefs Supermarket as a deli clerk.

He was a member of the Eagles Aerie #370. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved Elvis Presley and was definitely a Trump Man !! Most of all he loved watching his granddaughters play sports as long as he was able and watched on game changer when he couldn’t attend.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife Joyce are his children Teresa (Brian) Dick, Jeffrey (Tammi) Miller, both of Lima and Jeremy (Holly) Miller of Elida; his granddaughters Ashley Miller, Ashlyn (Mitch) Siefker, Addison Miller, McKenzie Miller, Cadence Miller, DeLaney Miller; his great-granddaughter Ariauna Miller; his brothers Bruce Miller and Michael (Kim) Miller; several nieces and nephews; his sister Sarah Marie (Robert) Shuerman.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Jeffrey Lynn Miller and Lyle “Pepper” Miller, Jr.; his sister Edith Shilling; his sister-in-law Priscila Miller.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8 :00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2023 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL, with Rev. Randy Davis officiating.

Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery will immediately follow the services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
