Willard G. “Fun Bill” Bowers, 78, of Lima passed away at 9:35 PM on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on August 28, 1942 in Sandusky, OH to Willard and Marian (Ramsdell) Bowers, who both preceded him in death. On November 18, 2002, he married Carlla (Dixon) Bowers, who preceded him in death on May 3, 2013.

Willard was a “jack of all trades” and had worked numerous jobs during his lifetime. He loved to fish and was a member of the Cridersville Bass Busters. He also enjoyed bowling and was a member of several area leagues. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his daughters Jennifer (Lance) Barnum of Sandusky, OH and Rochelle (Timothy) Leskovec of Twinsburg, OH; his grandchildren Allison Barnum, Kelly Barnum, Bailey Leskovec, Wyatt Leskovec and Eloise Leskovec; his sister Loralee Brumfield of Arizona; his companion Karen Vincent.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son Willard G. “Chip” Bowers and his Basset hounds Larry and Fred.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.

Interment will be at a later date in Meadow Green Memorial Park Cemetery, Huron, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
