Harrod, Ohio

Wendy Anne Hill, age 59, went to Heaven at 6:06 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at The Meadows of Delphos.

Wendy was born August 11, 1963 in Fort Riley, KS, to Charles F. and Virginia L. (Armentrout) Hill. On January 26, 1994 she married Robert Carl “R.C.” Morgan who preceded her in death on March 5, 2010.

Wendy was a 1981 graduate of Allen East High School. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Rhodes State College in 1983 and later earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. Wendy first became interested in nursing when she worked as a Lima Memorial Hospital Candy Striper. She was a dedicated nurse in the Lima area for over 30 years, having served as President of the West Central Ohio Paramedic and Nurses Association, Director of Rhodes State College Paramedic Program, Manager of Lima Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department, as well as Lima Memorial Hospital’s OB Labor and Delivery Department and Newborn Intensive Care Unit. Wendy was an advanced life support and pediatric life support instructor at Lima Memorial Hospital and Rhodes State College. Wendy had also worked as a part-time Paramedic for LACP and as a Flight Nurse for Sky Med, which is where she met her beloved husband and pilot, R.C. Morgan. Wendy was instrumental in organizing a fund raiser for a severely burned boy from Waynesfield to help pay for medical expenses. She was a woman of great faith and many talents. Wendy enjoyed crafting, knitting, quilting and basket weaving, as well as baking and cooking meals for her fire station buddies. She was a member of First Evangelical and Reformed Church.

She is survived by her mom, Ginger L. Hill of Harrod; son, Justin (Joan) Morgan of Findlay; sister, Heather Lynn Houser of Harrod; brother-in-law, Galen Houser of Harrod and two nieces, Hannah (Kodi) Paulus of West Milton and Katie Houser of Harrod and two great-nieces, Hadley and Kenli Paulus.

She is preceded in death by her dad, Charles F. Hill and husband, Robert Carl “R.C.’ Morgan.

Graveside services will begin at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
