Wayne D. Cullison, 82, passed away January 6, 2023, at 12:20 pm, Lima Memorial Health System, surrounded by his loving family.
Wayne was born January 21, 1940 in Polo, IL, to Harry and Loretta (Livingston) Cullison who both preceded him in death. On December 27, 1992 he married Sharon “Sherri” (Kearfott) Cullison who survives in Lima, OH.
Wayne attended Polo High School in Polo, IL. He then enlisted into the United States Army and was in the 82nd Airborne and honorably discharged after three years of service. Wayne then received his associates degree in Geometrical Programming from Black Hawk College. He was a machinist for Farmal for twenty six years. Wayne then took a job with Navistar in Springfield, OH and worked his way up from the paint line to a CNC operator. After he retired he found hobbies in woodworking and building various things. Wayne took pride in his craftsmanship and would help any neighbor in need. Wayne was a Master Mason with Eureka Lodge #69. He always enjoyed eating out and had a hard time telling no to the sweet stuff. Wayne was a family man and cherished his wife and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Sharon “Sherri” A. Cullison of Lima, OH, children, Rosa (Shawn) Mcgee of East Moline, IL, Wayne (Kelly) Cullison of Tarpon Springs, FL, grandchildren, Alden (Crystal) Dilley of Rock Island, IL, Brandon Dilley of Rock Island, IL, Derrick (Erin) Cullison of Coal Valley, IL, Kenneth “Kenny” Cullison of Geneso, IL, Cody Maser of Holiday, FL, Justin (Lily) Howard of Columbus, OH, six great-grandchildren, sister, Winnona “Nonnie” (Jim) Flippin of Jamesville, WI and he also leaves behind his beloved German Shepherd, Macie Mae.
He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jennifer “Jenn” Howard, siblings, Riley “Bud” (Mary) Cullison, Larry (Georgia) Cullison, and Vance (Mary) Cullison.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 7:00pm at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Pastor Jeff Jenkins to officiate the service. Burial will be in following the service.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL, 1170 Shawnee Road, Lima, Ohio 45805.
