Waneta R. Muntis, 94 of Lima, went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2021, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
Waneta was born July 2, 1927 in Mannington, WV, to John and Linnie (Taggart) Rinehart, who preceded her in death. She married Richard E. Muntis, who preceded her in death in 1982.
Waneta was a 1946 graduate of Mannington High School, worked at Westinghouse and helped with various duties at Lima Baptist Temple. She was a member of Lima Baptist Temple and enjoyed helping at the church. Waneta enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Melanie (Bob) Reese of Lima and her great-grandchildren, Morgan and Isaac Reese.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Waneta is preceded in death by her sons, Richard E. Muntis Jr., Paul A. Muntis, David L. Muntis and her 13 brothers and sisters.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lima Baptist Temple.
