Vernon C. “Vern” Kingery, 65, of Lima, passed away at 5:01 PM on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

He was born on July 28, 1956, in Findlay to Vernon L. and Betty J. (Jones) Kingery, who both preceded him in death. On April 17, 1990, he married Jean Diller, who survives in Lima.

Vern enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to watch his hummingbirds.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife Jean Kingery are his son Jeffery (Julie) Kingery of Deshler, Michael (Christina) Kingery of Spencerville and Cody (Tabatha) Kingery of Salyersville, KY; his daughter Destiny (Cody) Rogers of Lima; his grandchildren Susan Poland, Nathan Kingery, Victor Kingery, Colin Kingery, Abby Kingery, Sophia Rogers, Sylas Rogers, Zander Kingery and Jaelynn; his great-granddaughter Scarlett Poland; his brother Gary (Linda) Kingery of Spring Hill, FL; his sister Jane Ann Kingery of Massillon; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL, where the family will received friends for 2 hours prior to the services from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Brian Archer will officiate the service.
