Tommy T. Hendley, 74, of Lima passed away at 6:35 AM on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on November 8, 1948 in Lima to Frank and Mary (Lee) Hendley, who both preceded him in death. On September 6, 1986, he married Debra S. Lane, who survives in Lima.

Tommy retired from the Ford Motor Company Lima Engine Plant, where he was affectionately called “Rambo”. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army. He was a former member of the Iron Brotherhood Motorcycle Club and was the founder of United Riders. He was a life member of the AMVETS, Post 39, Lakeview. Tommy was a drummer in the Renegade and the Cavaliers band. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved to travel with his wife, sister and friend. Above all else, he loved all his grandkids.

Surviving in addition to his wife Debra S. Hendley of Lima are his children Veronica Catlett, Elizabeth Hendley, Tim (Darsha) Hendley, all of Lima and Paula Tate of Vermont; his fourteen grandchildren David, Jordan (Denise), Brittany (Travis), Brandon (Alex), Shian (Dayton), Dylan, Brianna, Timothy, Alexis (BJ), Justin, Kadin, Deseree, Zariah and Preston; his six great-grandchildren Thomas, Azden, Liam, Haiz, Adelyn and Little Bill and one on the way. Also surviving is his sister Julia Foust-Wollam of Wapakoneta; his sisters-in-law Sharon (Fred) DePalma, Nancy VanDyke, Becky Lane, Cheryl Skinner, Cindy (Rene) Essex and Shirley O’Donnell; special friends Faye (Rick) Cooper) and his loving dog Tinkerbelle.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Jan Accountius and Mary Searls; his brothers-in-law David (Laura) Lane, Larry VanDyke, Herb Lane, Mike Skinner, Bob O’Donnell and Guy Wollam.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 19, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL, where military rites will be performed by active duty members of the US Army and VFW Post 1275.

His niece Stacey Kile will officiate the service.

Tommy will take his last ride immediately following the service at the funeral home to Memorial Park Cemetery, any riders that would like to join the procession are welcome.
