Tommy “Tom” L. Protsman, 81, went home to be with the Lord, on October 30, 2022, at 2:50 pm, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was born November 17, 1940 in Lima, OH, to Harold and Hattie (Lanker) Protsman who both preceded him in death. On April 18, 1991 he married Holly (Herren) Protsman.
Tom retired from Ford Motor Company after forty years of service. He was a member of Grace Chapel Christian Union and dearly loved his church family. His greatest joy was his family and pets. He enjoyed cookouts, playing golf and playing cards. Most of all he loved telling stories and being ornery. Tom was thankful for the outdoors, the beauty of nature and all the creations that God has given us.
Tom is survived by his wife, Holly Protsman of Lima, OH, children, Michael “Mike” (Robin) Protsman, Marc (Cheryl) Protsman, Toby (Tiffany Rowe) Protsman, Lynette Harnishfeger, Lory Lotz, his special granddaughter, Sophia Protsman and his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Jamie Protsman, Dee Herren, Sondra Carey, Jackie Gardner, brothers-in-law, John Herren, Gary Herren, David “Dave” (Eve) Herren, mother-in-law, Nancy Herren, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his children, Tap Protsman, David Protsman, siblings, Harold “Jake” Protsman, Daniel “Dan” Protsman, brother-in-law, Michael “Mike” Herren, father-in-law , Robert “Bob” Herren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11:00am at Grace Chapel Christian Union Church, 9491 Santa Fe Line Road, Wapakoneta, OH 45895. Pastor Neal Reid to officiate the service. Burial will be in Bluelick Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL and from 10:00am to 11:00am at church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Chapel Christian Union Church or Debs Dogs.
