Timothy “Timmy” Turman, 62, of Lima, passed from this life on April 18, 2021, at Lima Memorial Hospital from an extended illness.

Timmy was born July 17, 1958 in Lima, to John and Rosemary Turman, his father survives in Lima, Oh, and his mother preceded him in death.

Tim or Timmy to most had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone who asked. He “loved” to fish, was meticulous about his yard and plants, was an avid fan of sports the Buckeyes, LA Lakers but especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was not often that you did not see him without Steelers’ gear whether it was hats or clothing. Timmy especially loved his dog Molly. He will be picking her up on the Rainbow Bridge so they can cross together. Timmy enjoyed having fun, laughing, joking, and once he got on FB there was no stopping him. He was extremely passionate about certain things and he let you know it. Timmy was his father’s caretaker, friend, and son. It was a very spirited day between them both on game days. Timmy is so loved by his family and will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Timmy was a 1976 graduate of Lima Senior High School. Timmy lived briefly in Phoenix, Arizona in the 90’s and then upon return home worked some years at Buckeye Rubber in Lima. He most recently worked as a contract driver of the U.S. Mail out of the Lima Post Office.

Timmy leaves to cherish his precious memory his brother Anthony (Aileen) Turman, sisters Teresa (Tony) Odom, Patricia (Jodi) Turman, Alexandria Turman, Alivia Turman, his dearest friend, and brother Scott (Lisa) Werling, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brother Thomas S. Jones.

The Family would like to thank the Lima Memorial Palliative Care team and the Putnam County Hospice for their support.

There will be no visitation and private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
