Theodore Williams Sr., age 65, passed away November 23, 2021, at 10:18 am, at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center.
Theodore was born on September 13, 1956 in Lima, OH, to Leo Williams Sr. and Helen (Smith) Thompson, both of whom preceded him in death. He worked at General Aluminum in Wapakoneta where he gave many years of dedicated service. He was a hard worker, and showed through his actions what it meant to be a provider. He was a dedicated man that anyone could learn a lot from. He had a passion for antique cars, especially Chevrolet’s from the late 1960s, but he wasn’t picky as long as he had a chance to go fast. Above all else, Theodore loved his family, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, nieces, and nephews. He was an exceptional man, and will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Survivors include: children, Demos “Tese” Watkins Sr. and Theodore (Kandace) Williams Jr.; siblings, Michael (Barbara) Smith, Yvette Hankerson, Darlene Boddie, Leo (Veneta) Williams Jr., Willie “booboo” Williams, and Robert Johnson; grandchildren, Jakayla, De’anglo, Demos Jr., Zahir, Armon, Chavi, Malachi, and Ta’kyis; great-grandchild, Janius; special nephew, Michael Smith Jr.; as well as special brothers, Julius, Brian, Alex, and Greg.
Preceded in death by: parents, Leo Williams and Helen Thompson; siblings, Russel Johnson, Delores Hankerson-Johnson, and Teddy Lee Glazer; as well as great-grandchild, Jada.
A public viewing will take place at the Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes Shawnee Chapel on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m.
