Mt. Cory
Thelma Elizabeth Ridenour, 94, passed away January 14, 2021 at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. Thelma was born August 5, 1926 in Continental, Ohio to the late Orville and Fannie (Prowant) Etter. On March 5, 1945 she married Harold Ridenour who preceded her in death on January 12, 2009. She later married Marvin Wolford and he survives in Mt. Cory.
Thelma graduated from Continental High School. She retired from Triplett Corporation in Bluffton and was a life-long farmer’s wife. Thelma was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Rawson. She had been a 4-H Advisor for many years, enjoyed bowling, traveling, visiting Amish country and was an avid gardener especially fond of roses.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen (Duane) Carlisle of Noblesville, Indiana, Kathy (Jay) Stearns of Saint Peters, Missouri; three stepdaughters; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren.
Thelma was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight Etter and a sister, Frieda Bidlack.
Private graveside services will be held at Benton Ridge Cemetery.
