Taffy M. (Kersker) Colley, age 51, was called home at 6:38 am Monday, June 28, 2021, at her home with the love of her family by her side.
Taffy was born September 16, 1969 in Lima, OH, to Donald E. and Mary Lou (Wood) Kersker. On July 12, 1997 she married the love of her life, Scott A. Colley.
Taffy was a 1988 graduate of Allen East High School and proudly served in the United States Navy. After returning home from the Navy, Taffy followed her passion and became a beautician. She was co-owner of The Cut and Color Crew for 16 years and then owner/operator of the TC Crew until present. An extraordinary woman, Taffy was a devoted wife, mom and grandma who was known by many for her sense of humor, compassion, selflessness, energetic personality and uncanny way of telling it like it is. Her greatest accomplishment was her family; she loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and friends. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Scott A. Colley of Lima, two daughters, Dacey S. (Steven) Kohlhoff of Lima and Calli Jo Colley of LaFayette; mom, Mary Lou Kersker of Harrod; seven grandchildren, Ashton and Kennedy Kohlhoff, Raelynn and Reed Hall and Cyril, Field and Vera Kruger; God-daughter, Lynn (Luke) Hall of Cridersville; special daughter, Mindy (Kevin) Kruger of Savannah, GA; two brothers, Todd M. Kersker of Lima and Troy M. Kersker of Harrod; sister, Tammy M. (Gene) Sedlacek of St. Augustine, FL; mother-in-law, Karen M. (Thomas) Riggsby, brother-in-law, Brian (Annette) Colley of Cincinnati; sister-in-law, Amanda (Eric) Monger of Cincinnati and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Donald E. Kersker and father-in-law, Buster Colley Jr.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, July 2, 2021, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL.
Military honors will be provided for the family at 1:00 pm Friday, July 2, prior to visitation.
