Susie E. “Sue” Spencer, age 79, was called home to her Lord and Savior, at 11:55 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Promedica Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio with her family by her side.

Susie was born January 17, 1943 in Wapakoneta, OH, to the late Lewis and Ella (Morris) Schaub. On August 9, 1969 she married the love of her life, Charles Edward Spencer who preceded her in death on October 28, 1990.

Susie had attended Harrod High School. She retired from Mid American Cleaning Contractors after more than 20 years of service. Susie was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers. She was a proud mom and grandma who especially loved attending her grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.

She is survived by 4 children, Diane (Ron Mayer) Williams, Debra (Randy) Hale, Charles “Chuck” Spencer and Lisa (Bink) Griffith all of Lima; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Schaub of Wapakoneta; best friend, Mary Augsburger of Lima and her beloved K-9 friend, Bella.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Adams; daughter-in-law, Carol Spencer; great-grandson , Timmy Jackson III; great-granddaughter, Alaha Barnes; great-grandson, Leonard “LJ” Harris and 3 brothers, William (Marie) Schaub, James Schaub and John (Thelma) Schaub.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Pastor Terry Brock will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Ward Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2022, at the funeral home.
