It is December 17, and I just found out that your loving Mom and Grandma left you. I came down from Cleveland for "Dr. Steck's" visitation at the funeral home. He and I had kept in touch for decades, he having been my childhood physician. At the funeral home, Susie greeted me like an old friend. Immediately I saw the love for her Jack in her eyes, and that's why her passing deeply saddened me. After she returned to Ocala, she sent me the nicest note of thanks. I changed-out Dr. Steck's name for hers in my email contacts, and sent a Christmas card a few weeks back. Can you imagine how proud she as Dr. Steck was, of each and every one of you? Both she and her Jack made great, positive impacts here, and in so many hearts, and their issue is their enduring legacy. I am profoundly sorry they are no longer here, but I am overjoyed to have had them in my life.

I thank the Stechschulte family for their donations over the years to Trinity Catholic High School in Ocala, Florida. As parishioners at Queen of Peace Catholic Church here in Ocala, for 10 years Dr. and Mrs. Stechschulte made annual contributions to our school's annual fund. We are thankful for their financial and prayer support, and we pray for the repose of their souls. Lou Pereira, President Trinity Catholic High School

Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your mother. She was a remarkable woman and I was so glad my mom was able to see her one last time at the funeral home when she paid her respects when your dad died. She, your dad and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Greg Garlock

To the children and grandchildren of our precious Dr. Jack Stechschulte and the love of his life Susie…Pastor and I met your father in the year 1969 when our oldest child James (Jimmy) was prematurely born at 7months. In those days most babies did not make it…The hospital brought in your father and we got to know him on a regular basis with our son developing Hyaline Membrane disease…We had daily meetings with us and at one time before we were able to take little Jimmy home at 4bls 14 oz. home with us that there had been another pair of hands working with his hands to help this baby live…From that time on we choose him as our Dr. Then we soon met Susie your wonderful mother. Oh how we loved her. Then we left for Bible College and we were gone to pastoring different churches in different states before coming back to Ohio…Again we sought out our precious friend as our children’s medical Dr. and he was Doctor to the last 4 of our children. My husband Jim was on the board of Heartbeat with your mother for many years…Then your dad and mom moved to Florida. SIGH!! We missed them but your dad stayed in contact with Jim for years….Someone told us your father had passed away and we were grieved to lose him on this earth. And then your precious lovely yet crazy momma left too…I mean that with all due respect. She made me feel sooo comfortable when around people of renown…We are hoping to stop by to give our respects tomorrow July 24th, however, we are officiating my cousins grave site service at 10:00 in New Breeman and I do not know if we can get there on time. I wanted to tell you how much we talked about all of you children and grands….They were overflowing with love for you all, and sooo very proud of each one of you…You had great parents and it will be wonderful to fellowship with them again. I am sure Susie ran right up to your dad and couldn’t hardly let him go…Had soo many fun times with them and lost of stories..hugs from us…

Momma…you were the light of our world. Glad you are with dad but oh how we miss you both. Your reunion, even after such a short time, must’ve been so sweet and brings me a smile.
