Steven “Lurch” L. Allen, age 69, passed away January 4, 2022, at 5:53 pm, at the Lima Memorial Health System. Steve was born November 14, 1952, in Lima, OH, to David C. and Ina Mae (Bryant) Allen who preceded him in death.
Steve was a 1971 graduate of Lima Senior High School. He worked various jobs as a contractor with the Lima Chemical Plant. Steve was a member of the Orioles Nest #173. He loved playing softball in the Lima summer leagues and was an avid Ohio State fan.
Steve is survived by his brother, Mike (Cindy) Allen of Delphos, OH and close friends, James (Virginia) Needham of Lima, OH. He was preceded in death by a brother, Denny Allen.
There will be visitation held on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 3-6 pm at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Burial of cremated remains will be held privately at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
