Steven ‘Steve’ A. Solomon, Jr., 67 of Lima passed away peacefully at OSU Wexner Medical Center surrounded by loved ones on December 13th, 2020 at 11:34 p.m..

He was born in Charleroi, PA November 20th, 1953 to Steven A. Solomon, Sr. and Sara ‘Sadie’ R. (Bilitzski) Solomon, who preceded him in death.

He was a 1971 graduate of California High School, and later went on to join the United States Naval academy. He worked for 84 Lumber, and Moore’s in the lumber industry for the early years of his life. He then went on and worked in the car business for 30 + years and retired from Reineke Family Dealerships where he worked for 10+ years.

He is survived by his 3 sons Damien M. (Kristie) Solomon of Lima, Derek M. (Tess) Solomon, of Lima, and Dallas M. (Linsey Gianas) Solomon, of Columbus. He has 6 grandchildren that he adored Ian Friesner, Brayden Solomon, Zane Solomon, Ayla Solomon, Liv Solomon and Max Solomon, and 3 step-grandchildren Brooklynn, Brylee, and Bostin and a niece Alexis (Conn) Kunkleman of Lima, OH. He is also survived by the mother of his 3 children and long time friend Cynthia ‘Cindy’ A. Solomon- Borchers of Lima, OH, that had 4 more children that he had a close bond with and treated them as his own; Danei (Jon) Bowers of Dayton, OH and daughter Taylor, Dayla Borchers of Columbus, OH and son Dawson, Drury (Emily) Borchers of Cleveland, OH and Delaney Borchers of Cleveland, OH.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, and also enjoyed fishing, and the outdoors, but most of all playing poker and spending time with his boys. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend.

The family would like to take the time and express their gratitude for every medical facility and nurse that helped with his care. They would especially like to thank Tom Reineke and the Reineke Family Dealerships for all the love and support given to him over the years.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, December 18,2020 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES SHAWNEE CHAPEL, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 19,2020 at the funeral home. Father Mike Sergi will officiate.

Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
