Shirley J. Cook, 89, of Lima passed away at 7:49 AM on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Lima Memorial Hospital.

She was born on March 7, 1933 in Lima, to Kenneth “Jim” and Edna (Conrad) Francis, who both preceded her in death. On September 6, 1958, she married Robert W. “Bob” Cook, who preceded her in death on May 12, 2019.

Shirley was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, where she volunteered for many years doing various activities including Sunday School, CUP, and Vacation Bible School. She loved to travel and also loved animals.

Surviving are her son Greg Cook of Lima; her brother Richard Lee Francis of Arlington, TX; one niece and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth (Mary) Francis, Jr. and a nephew.

The family will received friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 209 W. North Street, Lima.

Entombment will immediately follow the services in the Gethsemani Cemetery Mausoleum.
