Sharon L. Humes, 76 of Lima, passed away August 27, 2021, at her home.

Sharon was born August 23, 1945 in Lima, to Rufus “Steve” and Ethel (Bluebaker) Humes, who preceded her in death.

Sharon worked at K-Mart for 33 years until her retirement in 2004; she then worked an additional three years at WalMart on Harding Highway. She enjoyed gardening and reading her Sunday paper. Most of all, Sharon loved her dogs; they were her kids and they brought her great joy.

She is survived by her brothers, Steve Humes and Neal (Barb) Humes; sister-in-law, Charlotte Humes and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Humes; sister, Linda (Vashi) Aildasani and her sister-in-law, Carmen Humes.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Rev. John Hyter to officiate the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
