Sandra L. Selvaggio, age 78, was called into the presence of the Lord at 7:04 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center with family by her side.
Sandy was born April 22, 1943 in Lima, OH, to the late James “Jim” and Mary Ina (Repp) Moore. On October 26, 1963 she married the love of her life, Andrew J. “Andy” Selvaggio who preceded her in death on September 11, 2015. They were married 51 wonderful years.
Sandy was a 1961 graduate of Wapakoneta High School and had attended The Ohio State University. She retired as a bookkeeper from Thomas Schauweker Accounting and had most recently worked at American Coin Laundry. Sandy loved The Ohio State Buckeyes, enjoyed gardening and was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed thrifting, antiquing and playing Euchre with her friends. She was especially proud of her family and loved spending time with her granddaughters.
She is survived by her daughter, Noelle M. (Jim) Gremling of Pataskala; four granddaughters, Ariana (Josh) Chism, Gillian (Matthew Buxenstein) Gremling, Sarah Gremling, Hannah Gremling; brother-in-law, Carlo (Cathy) Selvaggio and her beloved dog, Holly.
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two sisters, Terry Ann Moore and Sharon Moore; inlaws, Raffaele “Andy” and Italia Selvaggio and a brother-in-law, Francis “Frank” Selvaggio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021, at St. John Catholic Church, 777 S. Main St., Lima, OH 45804. Father David Ross will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. following the visitation.
