Ruth Jean Sullivan, age 95, was called into the presence of the Lord at 9:05 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Springview Manor Nursing Home.

Ruth was born September 7, 1926 in Lima, OH, to the late Charles and Florence (Tussing) Pund. On November 6, 1948 she married Russell Eugene “Gene” Sullivan who preceded her in death on January 9, 1998.

Ruth retired from the RG Dunn Cigar Factory after 30 years of service and was a member of the Teamsters Local Union #908 Retirees. Ruth especially loved her family

She is survived by four children, Susan “Sue” Sullivan of Lima, John S. Sullivan of Lima, Barbara A. Miller of Spingfield and Paul (Missy) Sullivan of Ocala, FL; five grandchildren, Amber Sullivan of Lima, Shaunna (Harlan Singleton) Sullivan of Columbus, Logan Sullivan of Ocala, FL, Austin Sullivan of Ocala, FL and Ryan Sullivan of Ocala, FL; four great-grandchildren, Alexis Singleton of Columbus, Mercedes Singleton of Columbus, Harlan (Julona Martin) Singleton of Springfield and great-great granddaughter, Nu’Riyah “Nuri”.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Francis “Frank” Sullivan; son-in-law, Buggs Miller; brother, Charles (Mary) Pund and sister, Anna Louise Pund.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2022, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Salem Mennonite Cemetery, Elida.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 23, prior to the service at the funeral home.
