Ruth Ellen Ogletree, age 79, of Springfield, OH and formerly of Harrod, OH was called home to the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021. She was born July 31, 1941 to the late Lloyd and Mary (Thompson) Swaney, who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Quin Marce Ogletree; and the following siblings: Donald, Charles, Russell, Norman and Johnny Swaney, Wava Mitchell and Sharon Swaney.

Ruth is survived by these siblings: Ralph and Larry Swaney, Judy Craig and Mary Jane Augsburger. She is also survived by her children: Sharon (Doug) Booth, Steve Ogletree, Shawn (Kathy) Ogletree and Saundra (Gene) Wagner; and two grandsons: Michael Booth and Myles Wagner.

She enjoyed vegetable gardening, tending to her flowers, bird watching and taking walks.

Family and friends may call from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at the Eastside Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, 828 Bellefontaine Ave., Lima.

Graveside services will begin at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday at Salem Westminster Cemetery, with burial to immediately follow.
