Ruth E. Roeder, 83, passed away on March 20, 2021, at 11:47 am, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth was born July 14, 1937 in Lima, OH, to Benjamin and Ruth (Jordan) Ramsdail who both preceded her in death. On August 5, 1953 she married Richard “Dick” Roeder who survives in Lima, OH.
Ruth attended Shawnee High School. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Ruth enjoyed caring for various types of animals. She truly cherished her husband and loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. Ruth always loved spending time with her family and always looked forward to family gatherings.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Roeder of Lima, OH, Debra “Deb” (Mark) Fisher of Lima, OH, Kimberly “Kim” (David) Keferl of Lima, OH, Patricia “Pat” (Ron) Shafer of Lima, OH, Richard “Rick” Roeder of Lima, OH, Amy (Todd) Bush of Lima, OH, sixteen grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, sister, Minnie (Dick) Taylor, sister-in-law, Margaret “Peg” (Bill) Bath of Mesa, AZ, and brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” (Ellen) Roeder of Colorado Springs, CO.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Carol (Mark) Sue Fisher, siblings, Claude Ramsdail, Frank (Nancy) Ramsdail, Robert “Bob” (Peggy) Ramsdail, Wendell “Zeke” Ramsdail, and Anne Marie (Bud) Johantgen.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 2:00pm at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Elizabeth Watt PDCD Research Fund or St. Rita’s Hospice.
