Ronald “Ronnie” E. Lane, age 83, passed away January 5, 2022, at 8:45 am, at the Springview Manor Nursing Home. Ronnie was born September 18, 1938, in Bellecenter, OH, to George and Lois I. (Wallace) Lane who preceded him in death. On December 23, 1973, he married Sandra F. (Dotson) Lane who survives in Harrod.
Ronnie had attended Lima Senior High School. He had owned several different businesses in the Lima area. Ronnie always loved a good cigar and going to pool tournaments with his son. He will be remembered as being a very giving person.
In addition to his wife, Ronnie is survived by his children: Vicki Ewing of Lima, OH and Anthony E. Lane of Harrod, OH, 3 grandchildren: Amber Piper, Cody Piper and Trey Anderson, and 2 brothers: Mike Lane of Lima, OH and Terry Lane of Ashland, OH, many nieces and nephews and a special cousin, Bob Wallace.
There will be a memorial service held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Pastor Glory Geib.
Friends may visit on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
