Robert “Bob” O’Donnell Jr., 70 of Lima, passed away 5:45 AM on July 27, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born September 29, 1951 in Lima, to Robert and Louise (Krosky) O’Donnell, who preceded him in death. On December 1, 1972, he married Shirley (Allen) O’Donnell, who survives him in Lima.
Bob attended Shawnee High School and worked as the head repairman at Ford Motor Company for 31 years until his retirement in 2004. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and he loved riding in his vintage 1957 Chevy BelAir. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed tinkering with anything he could find in the garage, often fixing things that “weren’t broke”. His evenings and weekends were spent at his grandkids’ sporting events and he wouldn’t have it any other way. Most of all, Bob loved spending time with his family and his loving dog, Snookie.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children, Rob (Jodi) O’Donnell, III, Chad (Deesa Hammer) O’Donnell and Heather (Brad) Rabley; grandchildren, Ryker, Haley, Rhett, Hannah, Madilynn, Hadyn and Brynlie; sisters, Mary Lou (Paul) Robbins, Betty Jo (Dale) Wheeler and Susie (Jim) Pitchford; Sisters-in-law, Hope (Phil) Sensabaugh and Marilyn Allen; brother-in-law, Ed Kleman; foster-in-laws, Sharon (Fred) DePalma, Nancy VanDyke, Cheryl Skinner, Debbie (Tom) Hendley, Cindy (Rene) Essex and Herb (Becky) Lane; cousin, Chris (Karen) O’Donnell and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Marilyn Allen; sisters-in-law, Cindy Kleman and Jessie Tippie, brother-in-law, Frank Allen; nephew Bobby Money and his uncle, Joseph O’Donnell
