Robert Junior “Bob” Ford, age 76, was called into his Heavenly Home at 2:25 p.m Thursday, February 17, 2022, at home with the love of his family by his side.

Bob was born August 29, 1945 in Sinking Springs, OH, to the late John Robert and Stella (Wisecup) Ford. On October 14, 1963 he married the love of his life, Martha (Cole) Ford who preceded him in death on July 20, 2019 after 55 wonderful years of marriage.

Bob attended Perry High School. He retired from CSX Railroad after 30 years of service. Bob was a member of the Eagles Aeries #370 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #199, Lima. He enjoyed camping with family, traveling, fishing, racing and going to the casino. An extraordinary man, Bob worked hard his entire life supporting and loving his family. He instilled that same work ethic and love for family in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Most of all, Bob was happiest when he was together with his family, friends and children.

He is survived by his three children, John (Jeri) Ford of Social Circle, GA, Jamie (Wendy) Ford of Valles Mines, MO and Kimberly A. “Kimmy K.” Kohrn of Lima; three grandchildren, Misty (Joseph) Lance, Ashtin Politte and Brandon Shrider; great-grandchildren, Cole Robert Lance, Makenna J. Leach; sister, Judy Campbell; and lifelong friends, Charlie (Tiss) Adkins and Jessica (Dan) Jones.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by four sisters, Lorene Perkins, Margorie Williams, Wanda Sue Cole and Wilma McElroy.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2022, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Pastor Nathan Tucker will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 20, at the funeral home.
