A Memorial Service will begin at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at English Lutheran Church, Bluffton. Pastor Kevin Mohr and William Herr officiating. Following the service, a fellowship meal with visitation will be held at the church. A private burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Bluffton.

Bluffton
Robert J. Stratton, 93, passed away November 28, 2019 at his residence. Bob was born May 28, 1926 in Bluffton to the late Raymond and Carrie (Sutter) Stratton. On August 9, 1953 he married Treva Althaus Stratton who survives.
Bob was a graduate of Bluffton High School and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War serving with the 24th Infantry Division. He was awarded the combat and Bronze Star Medals. Bob was an active member of the American Legion Post #382 in Bluffton and also served in other veteran organizations. He was baptized into the Lutheran Church and was a member of the First Mennonite Church in Bluffton. Bob was a life-long dairy farmer raising registered Holsteins. He retired in 1994 from dairy farming but continued farming until his death. Bob was a member of the Allen County Dairy Association and volunteered selling milk at the Allen County Fair. He enjoyed traveling especially to Lakeside and listening to big band music.
Survivors also include a daughter, Sue (Bob) Fett of Bluffton; two sons, Brett (Diane) Stratton of Ft. Myers, Florida, Jon Jay (Sherry) Stratton of Bluffton; nine grandchildren, Abbie (Aaron) Meyers, Carrie (David) Hartman, Maggie Fett, Lucie Fett, Jonathan (Andreea) Stratton, T.J. (Gina) Wiley, Tisha (Nathan) Lee, Emily Stratton, Sean DeCello; eleven great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Elnora Stratton of Bluffton.
Bob was preceded in death by a brother, James Stratton and a sister, Marilyn Stratton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #382 and Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
