Robert E. “Dr. Bob” Wright, age 68, went home to be with his loved ones who passed before him at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at his home with his wife by his side.

Bob was born March 21, 1954, in Lima, Ohio to the late Boucher H. Wright and Mary Lou (Ziegenbusch) Wright Sidner. On February 3, 2000, he married Marilyn J. (Lundy) Wright.

Bob was a 1974 graduate of Shawnee High School. He was currently employed by Vorst Paving in Cloverdale, Ohio and had previously tended bar at Ray’s Place and Arnold’s. Bob was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and loved to ride. He was a member of the U.S. Patriots Motorcycle Club. Bob was well loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Marilyn J. Wright; son, Tyler (Kelly) Wright; two granddaughters, Brooke Wright and Lexi Wright; sister, Judy (Terry) Schaaf; and step dad, Ross Sidner; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a step-daughter, Rachel Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, at the funeral home.
