Robert Drew Helms, 29, of Lima was called home to be with the Lord at 1:40 PM on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

He was born on June 30, 1992 in Lima to Kent Alan Helms, who preceded him in death on February 22, 1997 and April M. (Wayne) (Shindeldecker) Twining, who survives in Lima. He was married to Brooke (Ackerman) Helms.

Drew had worked as a journeyman electrician.

Surviving are his sons Ashton Drew Helms, Layton Kent Helms and Liam Roeder; his step daughter Serenity Grace Houston; his maternal grandfather Robert D. “Rick” Shindeldecker of Harrod; his paternal grandparents Darrell (Judy) Helms of Lima; his sister Karlie M. (Kyle Kirkendall) Helms of Lima.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Karen M. Shindeldecker.

There will be no visitation or services at this time and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
