Robert “Bob” C. Lieb, 92, passed away on December 15, 2020, at 5:11 pm, at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center.
Robert was born December 15, 1928 in Hamler, OH, to Frank and Leona (Hanson) Lieb who both preceded him in death. On September 7, 1973 he married Shirley (Sterling) Lieb who preceded him in death on March 25, 1993.
Bob was a United States Army veteran and served in the Korean Conflict where he received a Purple Heart. Bob worked at United States Postal Service as a Mail Handler for over fifteen years. He also worked in construction for over thirty years. Bob enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He cherished his family very much and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Patty (Ralph Marshall) Lieb of Lima, OH, Judy (Frank Summa) Mumper of Lima, OH, Roberta “Bobbi” (Dave Hensley) Lieb of Lima, OH, brothers, Earl Lieb of Leipsic, OH, Lyle Lieb of Defiance, OH, grandchildren, Robb King of Lima, OH, Dawn King of Lima, OH, Niki (Bruce) Ferris of Wapakoneta, OH, Stephanie (Keith) Gorman of Lima, OH, Shelly (Troy Douce) Collins of Lima, OH, Mason Godfrey of Lima, OH, Matt (Selena Davenport) Wilson of Lima, OH, seven great-grandchildren, and dog companion, Daisy.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Carla Lieb, siblings, Carl Lieb, Glenn Lieb, Richard Lieb, Delbert Lieb, and Glay Lieb.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 11:00am at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Pastor Terry Brock to officiate the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Military rites will be conducted by Lima VFW Post 1275.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL.
