Rickey Lynn Davenport, 67, passed away February 25, 2021, at his home.
Rickey was born July 24, 1953 in Lima, to Walter Davenport and Dorothy (Carter) Miller, who preceded him in death. On March 27, 1991 he married Leesa (Cary) Davenport, who survives him in Lima.
Rickey attended Allen East High School until he joined the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was an avid fisherman and he enjoyed tinkering in the garage. Rickey enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Cleveland Browns. He will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, especially his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Rickey is survived by his son, Rich Davenport; daughter, Brooke Davenport; sisters, Marla (Ken) Snyder and Demetta Black; brother, Perry Miller and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Diane Davenport; brother, Steve Davenport and step-father, Milo Miller.
A family gathering will be held at a later date.
