Richard Lee Hershberger, age 75, passed away at 8:38 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Richard was born July 21, 1946 in Lima, OH, to William Henry and Eva Marie (Deafendiffen) Hershberger who preceded him in death.

Richard was a graduate of Lima Senior High School. He had previously worked at the Superior Coach Company and was a self employed painter. Richard was a jack of all trades and was especially known for his ornery demeanor.

He is survived by his three daughters, Karen (David) Conrad of GA, Margaret (Duane) Gibson of Lima and Jessica Sager of Lima; several grandchildren; two brothers, William Hershberger, Sr. of Lima and Ronnie (Kathy) Hershberger of FL; his favorite niece, Regina (Billy) Hunter of Eden, NC and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Hershberger; brother, Bert Hershberger; and two sisters, Rose Marie (Kenneth) Augsberger and Linda (Kenneth) Jarman.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
