Richard proudly served his country during the Korean War era as a member of the US Army. He was the owner of the former Equity Dairy on N. Main Street and later retired in 1995 after 25 years of working for Shipper Food Brokerage out of Dayton, Ohio.

He was a very devout Catholic and a completely devoted husband. He was a long-time volunteer at the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elk’s Lodge 54 and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Richard enjoyed fishing and watching football, basketball and baseball but most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren.
