Rev. Vaughn Wireman, age 96, was called into the presence of the Lord at 1:09 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2021, at Lima Memorial Health System.
Vaughn was born January 23,1925 in Kentucky to the late Ark and Cynthia (Griffin) Wireman. On October 5, 1947, he married Eda “Edith” (Smith) Wireman who preceded him in death on April 16, 2013, after 65 years of marriage.
Vaughn worked as a mechanic and electrician for Sheller / Globe for many years. He loved the Lord and served as Pastor of the Pentecostal Tabernacle Church in Alger. He also served as Pastor of eight churches over his lifetime. Vaughn especially loved reading his Bible, hunting, fishing and working on cars.
He is survived by four sons, Gordon Conley of Longview, TX, Kenny (Linda) Wireman of Harrod, Donnie (Sylvia) Wireman of Lima and Darrell Wireman of Lima; two daughters, Lydia (Jon) Rector of Tampa, FL, and Evelyn Stone of St. Petersburg, FL, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Conley; five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Pastor Mark Hatfield will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Allentown Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 10, prior to the service.
Due to the COVID-Pandemic we ask that all visitors wear a mask.
