Phyllis C. Bollinger, age 75, passed away on July 21, 2022, at 9:50 pm, at The Springs of Lima. Phyllis was born November 4, 1946, in Dayton, OH, to Eddy Lee and Margaret Melvina (Frazer) Cox who preceded her in death. On July 18, 1992, she married Richard E. Bollinger Sr. who preceded her in death on July 7, 2017.
Phyllis was a graduate of the Ohio Northern University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree. She had also spent her entire career and retired from the Ohio Northern University where she worked in the Admissions Department. Phyllis was a dog lover and was an excellent cook.
Phyllis is survived by a step-daughter, Alisa (Tony) Moretto of FallBrook, CA, her former daughter in-law, Peggy (W. John) Tisch of North Bend, OH, a step-granddaughter, Anna M. Bollinger of Cleves, OH, a step-grandson, Samuel R. Bollinger of Amelia, OH and a step-granddaughter, Zoe A. Davis of Portland, OR. She was preceded in death by a step-son, Richard E. Bollinger Jr. and her previous spouse Ronnie Grover.
There will be a funeral service held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 12 noon with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Rev. Lori Wright. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Deb’s Dogs.
