Pauline Edwards Cook, 96, of Combine, TX entered the heavenly gates on December 4, 2020 and joined her husband of 52 years, Harold F. Cook, Sr.
Daughter of David and Golda Edwards, she was born on January 5, 1924 in Leipsic, OH. She graduated from Elida High School in 1942. Harold and Pauline married on November 9, 1946.
Pauline is survived by her sons and their families: Don and Kathy Cook of Mount Dora, FL, and Hal and Sharon Cook of Combine, TX.
She was blessed with four granddaughters: Jennifer Cook (Brian) Belarmino, Pensacola, FL; Stephanie Cook, Dallas, TX; Crystal Cook (Jerry) West, Combine, TX; and Jaclyn Cook (Ian), Frisco, TX.
Pauline was the great grandmother to six children who loved her dearly: Alexis, Brady and Brooke Belarmino, Pensacola, FL; and Tatum, Hudson and Stryder West, Combine, TX.
She is survived by her two sisters: Dorothy Edwards of Lima, OH and Sue Edwards Mauk of Cairo, OH, and many special nieces and nephews. Preceeded in death by her parents, loving husband, and siblings: Emogene Edwards Evers, Loma Edwards Keeling, Marguerite Edwards, Thomas ‘Tom’ Edwards and Robert ‘Bob’ Edwards.
Pauline loved sports (college and professional) and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports. She was their biggest fan. She loved her Boston Terrier, Miranda ‘Mimi’ who was her constant companion until the very end. Pauline loved cooking, crocheting, bird watching, the color purple, carnations and cardinals.
“Mom,” “Grandma,” “Grammy,” will be greatly missed by many. Her family will continue her legacy of always putting family first.
Her services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Dec. 14, 2020 at the Mausoleum at Memorial Park with Rev. Dylan Staas officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum following the service.
