Paul F. Hardwick, 93, passed away on August 11, 2021, at 6:38 pm, at Lima Memorial Health System, surrounded by his loving family.
Paul was born June 5, 1928 in Bellefontaine, OH, to William “Bill” and Cora (Williamson) Hardwick who preceded him in death. On January 30, 1952 he married Ida (Wilkerson) Hardwick who survives in Lima, OH.
Paul was honorable discharged from the Army in 1952 and served in the Korean Conflict. Paul retired from the city of Lima Water Supply as a supervisor after forty years. Paul and his wife have been active members at Trinity Wesleyan Church since 1952. He was a lifetime member of the Lima Eagles #370. Paul was a loving and devoted husband of sixty nine years. He cherished his wife Ida dearly and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his wife, Ida Hardwick of Lima, Ohio, children, Sharon (Lloyd) Hight of Lima, OH, Richard “Rick” (Elaine) Hardwick of Lima, OH, Julie (Mike) Newkirk of Cocoa, FL, sister-in-law, Phyllis Hardwick of Lake Placid, FL, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Stephen “Steve” Hardwick, sister, Betty Tallman and brother, Richard “Dick” Hardwick.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 1:00 pm at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Rev. Andrew Thomas to officiate the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service, with military honors to follow from the United States Army and Lima VFW 1275.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 17, 2021, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL.
