Pamela Jean Owens Moncrief, age 71, affectionately known as PJ, died peacefully at 1:09 p.m. February 12, 2021 at Lima Shawnee Manor, Lima, Ohio with family at her bedside.

Pam was born November 24, 1949 to Arley E. Owens Sr. and Loretta Jane Jennings Owens, who preceded her in death. Pam was married to Anthony Moncrieff, on May 16, 1988, who still survives along with two stepdaughters; Markeila Dillard and Shakeila Dillard, five Grandchildren; Markeila Dillard the 2nd, , LaShawn and RaShawn Dilliard, Antanysis and Nykeila Alston. Pam is also survived by three sisters; Alice (Michael Sullivan) of Baltimore, Ohio, Mary Jane (Hutchins) Owens of Lima, Ohio, Debra Hamilton (Danny Hamilton) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, three brothers; Arley E. Owens Jr. (Audrey) of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Dale E. Owens, and John D. Owens both of Lima, Ohio, Sister -In-Law, Celestine (Harley) Manley Owens, Aunt Betty (Leroy) Williams, and a number of Nieces, Nephews, relatives and family friends.

Pam was a 1969 Graduate of Lima Shawnee High School where she was a member of Shawnee’s Block “S” Cheering Squad. Pam was also an avid Ohio State Football Fan and every year hosted an Ohio State versus the Team Up North tailgate party at the Days Inn in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Pam enjoyed teaching Sunday School at the Truth For Youth Church in Lima, Ohio and babysitting her nieces and nephews. In addition Pam loved to go fishing with her husband Anthony and brag about the one the “Got Away.”

Pam began a career in the Home Health Care field and was employed along with her sister Mary at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home. After a four year tenure Pam moved to Dayton, Ohio where she met and married her future husband Anthony while caring for his Mother. In 1991 they moved back to Lima, Ohio to care for Pam’s parents until their passing in early 1995. Upon moving to Columbus, Ohio, Pam entered the employment of AM Friends and Family Home Healthcare LLC owned by her sister Alice and husband Michael Sullivan. Pam retired in 2017 and enjoyed evenings with close friends and family including her nephew Jerry Hutchins and cousin Rodney Cooper.

The Family has planned a private funeral service at the Chiles – Laman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel, 1170 Shawnee Road Lima, Ohio 45805 on Friday, February 26, 2021 from the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A special Memorial Service for Pam will be held this Spring.
