Oscar “O.G.” Grisby Jr., age 64, was called into the presence of the Lord on July 2, 2022.

Oscar was born August 25, 1957 in Greenwood, MS, to Oscar “O.G.” Grisby Sr. and Bessie Miles who both preceded him in death.

Oscar had previously worked for Black and White Cab Company. He was an avid Star Trek fan, enjoyed watching TV, he was a car enthusiast and loved to fish.. Oscar was especially proud of his children and grandchildren and loved spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his eight children, Guylin (Tonia) Jones of Lima, Tanille Jones of Maumee, Dawan Jones Sr. of Findlay, Terrence (Falena) Grisby of Lima, Ashley (Akeem Sr.) Grisby-Wade of Columbus, Oscar Grisby III of Lima, Courtney Grisby of Columbus, and Brittany Grisby of Lima; thirty seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, four sisters, Betty Grisby of Lima, Dorothy Brown of Lima, Della Grisby-Nichols of Greenwood, MS and Dot of Atlanta Ga; three brothers, Dave Forrest of Lima, Joe Nathan of Greenwood, MS, and Jack Love of Lima; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is Preceded in death by a grandson, Guylin Jones Jr. and sister, Clara Belle Grisby.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Rev. James Boldin will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at the funeral home prior to the service at the funeral home.
