Naomi Katherine (Linton) Fifer – Clark, age 96, went to be with the Lord at 2:58 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021, at her home.

Naomi was born July 23, 1925 in Lima, OH, to the late Elza and Carrie (Meyers) Linton Sr. On April 16, 1974 she married George Clark who preceded her in death on November 22, 2001.

Naomi was a 1943 graduate of Lima South High School. She had previously worked at the Lima Army Tank Depot during WWII and the Senate Restaurant. Naomi retired from the service department of Blue Cross / Blue Shield after 25 years of service. She loved the Lima community and served the community in many capacities, including volunteering for the Allen County Election Board, West Ohio Food Bank, Churches United Pantry, Bath Schools PTA, Hostess for Pepsi and Dr. Pepper and Ladies Aide. Naomi loved the Lord and was a longtime member of First Evangelical and Reformed Church of Lima, having served with both the adult and children’s choir. She was currently attending the Christian Assembly Worship Center in Lima. Naomi enjoyed horseback riding and camping. She especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by five children, Ronald (Tabetha) Fifer of Lima, Daniel “Danny” (Susan) Fifer of Lima, Karen R. (Don) Kloeppel of Columbus Grove, Marcia L. Makley of Wapakoneta and Susan E. Striff of Lima; adopted son, Richie (Judy) Crouch of Lima; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her previous husband, John Fifer; daughter, Linda K. Youcum; brother, Elza Linton, Jr., step-brother, Charles Deerhake, step-sister, Rachel Biederman; great-great grandson, Trajan Sherrick and her beloved cat, Hannah.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Pastor Rich Biclawski will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday.
