Myrtle Marie Dell, 85, passed away on February 26, 2022 at Kessler Estates, Lima.
Myrtle was born March 22, 1936 in Alger, OH, to Dallas and Blanche (Sawmiller) Cramer who preceded her in death. On August 24, 1957, she married Jimmy F. Dell who preceded her in death in 2013.

A graduate of Bowling Green State University, with a degree in Education, she was an elementary and substitute school teacher in the Lima area. Myrtle was an active volunteer for many years for the Department of Children Services, as well as a faithful participant in foster care parenting alongside her husband, Jimmy. She thoroughly loved gardening with all her plants and flowers, and was well known when it came to her care for her beautiful Christmas poinsettias year after year. She was quite the jigsaw puzzle solver, and enjoyed her time over the years playing cards, either with her Bridge Club or on her own playing Solitaire.

Myrtle was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and was formerly a member of Grace United Methodist Church. For years, at both churches, she assisted in the preparation and serving of regular breakfasts for the Lima community.

Myrtle is survived by her children, Scott (Denise) Dell of Palm Coast, FL, Richard (Diana) Dell of Alpharetta, GA, Diana (Perry) Boise of Lima, Sister Lura Allen of Dayton, Grandchildren Shanna Johnson, Angela (Jason) Leindecker, Whitney (Kurtis) Vargo, Mackenzie (Caleb) Thornton and Great Grandchildren Tyler Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Kayla Leindecker, Benjamin Leindecker , Nathan Leindecker, Lynden Thornton and Beau Thornton. She is preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Conley, brother, Norman Cramer.

Friends and family may visit from 10 to 11:30 am, Wednesday March 2 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 301 W Market Street, Lima. Celebration of her life will immediately follow at 11:30 am at the church. Rev. John Foster will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery in Alger, OH following the service.
