Miriam R. Bandy, 98 of Lima, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 1:00 a.m., at Primrose Retirement Community of Lima.
She was born Feb. 2, 1923 in Van Wert, OH, to Fredrick and Laura (Richey) Flickinger who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Lynn (Annie) Bandy of Richmond, IN; two grandsons, Yann M. (Amy) Bandy of Richmond, IN and Eric F. Bandy of Queens, NY; and a great-granddaughter, Sophie Bandy.
Miriam was preceded in death by the following siblings: Dr. Miles (Jane) Flickinger, Mahrl “Bud” (Ruth) Flickinger, Irma Flickinger and Lois Flickinger.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lima and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved spending time with her two grandsons, fishing and traveling. She had worked at a teletypist at Wright-Patterson AFB during WW II. She was a medical secretary for her brother, Dr. Miles Flickinger.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Her final resting place will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.
