Meg L. Kiracofe, age 64, passed away on February 15, 2022, at 5:40 pm, at Lima Memorial Health System. Meg was born March 4, 1957, in Lima, OH, to Kermit T. and Carolyn L. (Mowen) Kiracofe who preceded her in death.
Meg was a 1975 graduate of Bath High School. She had also attended Lima Technical College. Meg had worked as a corrections sergeant at Allen Correctional Institution for many years until she took a medical retirement in 1998. When she was younger she enjoyed playing softball for the Lima Yellow Jackets. She was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, OSU and the Cincinnati Reds during the Big Red Machine era. She also loved vacationing in LasVegas until she had her stroke in 1998.
Meg is survived by her siblings: Thomas M. Kiracofe of Lima, OH, Joseph (Melissa) Kiracofe of Columbus Grove, OH and Molly (Steve) Coleman of Lima, OH, her niece and nephews: Matt Timmerman, Blaine (Madalynne) Timmerman, Lauren (Dustin) Kiracofe Sizemore, Logan Kiracofe and Alex (Amber) Quick, a great niece, Zella Van Atta and a great niece/nephew on the way, an aunt, Doris Long of Ada, OH, an uncle, John (Pat) Mowen of Lima, OH and an aunt, Loretta (Skip) Moss of Lafayette, OH.
There will be a funeral service held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 6:00 pm at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Rev. Ted Bible. Burial of cremated remains will be held privately at a later date in Lewis Grove Cemetery.
Friends may visit on Monday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL. The family would like to thank the staff at the Cridersville Nursing Home and Lima Memorial Hospital for the excellent care shown to Meg during this difficult time.
