Mary Kay Trudgeon, age 68, passed away November 28, 2021, at 3:21 am, at the Lima Memorial Health System. Mary was born January 21, 1953, in Detroit, MI, to Roy Calvin and Mary M. (Padar) Wallis who preceded her in death. On September 16, 1972, she married Ronald J. Trudgeon who survives in Lima.
Mary was a 1971 graduate of Dondero High School, Royal Oak, MI. Her legacy was her family. She spent her life raising her children and caring for her grandkids. Mary was a member of St. Gerard’s Catholic Church. She will be remembered as being a very intent listener, non-stop talker and had a tremendous skill in finding out the answers to difficult questions that no one had the guts to ask.
In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her daughters: Kim (Dan) Cook of Lima, OH, Jennifer (Josh) Szippl and Mary “Susie” Trudgeon both of Ada, OH, 7 grandchildren: Andrea Cook, Ronald (Tifanie) Roberts, Brenden (Hannah) Szippl, Abigail Cook, Andrew “Big Boy” Cook, Jacob Szippl and Alexis Cook, 4 great grandchildren: Makenna Szippl, Luka Szippl, Bodhi Roberts and Oliver Riddering. She was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Wallis.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church. Officiating the service will be Father Mike Sergi. Burial of cremated remains will be held privately at a later date.
Friends may visit on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 5-9 pm at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Following callings hours there will be a wake service at 9:00 pm. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
