Mary J. Joseph, age 79, passed away on March 30, 2022, at 7:20 pm, at the Lima Memorial Health System. Mary was born March 27, 1943, in Delphos, OH, to John C. Tegenkamp and Eleanor A. (Davis) Tegenkamp-Volk who both preceded her in death. On September 11, 1967, she married Richard F. Joseph who preceded her in death on January 9, 1996.
Mary graduated from Delphos St. John’s High School and the Miller-Drageun College of Nursing in Cincinnati, OH. She spent a short time working as a nurse but the majority of her career was working in the family business with her husband at Joseph Sand and Gravel where she took care of the bookkeeping and accounting. She had also worked for the village of Uniopolis as a former trustee. In the end, she worked as a CPA out of her own home doing taxes for some small businesses and private individuals. Mary had been attending the Living Faith Ministries Church.
Mary is survived by her son, Brian (Dawn) Joseph of Wapakoneta, OH, a son, Ralph Joseph of Lima, OH, a daughter, Toni Joseph of Lima, OH, 5 grandchildren: David Joseph, Cody Joseph, John Adam Decker, Aaron Hazelton and Joe McCleary, several great grandchildren, 5 siblings: Linda Loescher of Cridersville, OH, David Tegenkamp of Lima, OH, Dennis Tegenkamp of Lima, OH, Kathy (Steve) Coburn of Spencerville, OH and Judith Stoddard of Wapakoneta, OH. She was preceded in death by a son, Barry Joseph, a daughter, Terri Holler, a grandson Fred McCleary, a brother, Nick Tegenkamp, and 2 sisters: Marcia Cameron and Sandra Karen.
There will be a funeral service held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11:00 am at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be her brother in-law, Pastor Steve Cohan and also Rev. Larry McCollum. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Uniopolis, OH following the service.
Friends may visit on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 pm and then again on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
