Martha M. Hartzog, age 84, passed away February 23, 2023, at 10:15 pm, at The Springs of Lima. Martha was born June 20, 1938, in Putnam County to Harry and Erma (Ladd) Myers who preceded her in death. On January 24, 1959, she married Harry E. Hartzog Jr. who survives in Lima.
Martha is also survived by her children: Terry (Roseanne) Hartzog of Lima, OH and Kimberly (Brian) Hollar of Lima, OH, 9 grandchildren: Brett (Samantha Miller) Hartzog, Troy (Angel) Hartzog, Michelle Hartzog, Paul (Amanda Bartosiak) Hartzog, Christine (Richard) Roy, Nicholas (Bridget) Hollar, Ashley (Justin) Salyers, Courtney (James Miller) Hollar and Kaylin Hollar, 11 great grandchildren: Bailey, Mason, Reghan, Blake, Brice, Carson, Addison, Haysley, Kynsley, Grayson and Brooklyn, 2 sisters: Margie (Lon) Myers of Phoenix, AZ and Cathy Rosselite of Ottawa, OH. She was preceded in death by her son, Alan Hartzog, 4 sisters: Pauline Ballinger, Estella Sipe, Mabel Armentrout and Thelma Seimet, 3 brothers: Kenneth Myers, Harry Myers Jr. and Vern Myers.
Martha was a 1957 graduate of Ottoville High School. She spent her life as a homemaker and was focused on raising her family. She will be remembered for her candy making and cooking. She dearly loved her grandchildren and in general she loved all little kids.
There will be a funeral service held on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL where friends may visit from 12 noon until the time of the service. Officiating the service will be Chaplain Scott Long. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery following the service. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
